Welcome to Lagniappe Online!

GREAT NEWS!
Lagniappe Church has elected 2 new Ruling Elders and a new Deacon! We are very proud of Rick Fleming, Mark Stevens and James Dobson for their successful completion of the officer training course. They showed themselves (2 Timothy 2:15) to be workmen approved; correctly handling the word of truth. Rick and Mark were elected Sunday 15 January 2012 to serve as Ruling Elders and James was elected to serve as a Deacon. These men have already proven themselves to be the type of leaders we can trust and respect. Let us endeavor to support them in this high and difficult calling.
Our worship services continue to be Sunday afternoons from 5:30-7:00 at 912 W Beach Blvd. Christ Episcopal Church has been gracious enough to share their picturesque building with us. On the 4th Sunday of every month at 4 P.M. Christ Episcopal hosts local community exhibitions in their facility; therefore, worship services for Lagniappe will meet at 6:30 P.M. on the 4th Sunday of each month.

How Do I get Involved with My Church?
Interested in getting more involved at Lagniappe? There are several opportunities available.- Women of Lagniappe: There are literally dozens of ways for you to get on board with the ministry of Lagniappe church. Fellowship events, Christian family mentoring, discussion groups... For information on how your gifts are needed in Christ's community, call: Barbara Warner, Molly Hammett or Robin Stevens.
- Teen and Twenties Bible Study: We meet weekly, at 6:30 on Wednesday nights at 839 Chiniche St. Bay St. Louis. If you can get involved with this outreach just show up. We are currently exploring modern music and evaluating its positive and negative effects on culture with a Biblically informed world-view.
- Mission Trips: Lagniappe sent a team to Yazoo City, MS last Fall and we were blessed with the opportunity to minister to victims of flood and tornado damage. If you are aware of a particular ministry need and would like to lead or participate in a mission trip please inform Pastor Carey Hammett or James Dobson.
- Men of Lagniappe: How can God use your unique gifts to serve His community? Has God given you a desire to study and teach His Word? Lead a Bible Study. Do you love Art or Music? Share that passion with your brothers. Do you have a boat? Take a brother fishing. Are you a hunting or shooting enthusiast? Plan a shooting day. Do you love watching the big game? Invite the boys over.
