Welcome to Lagniappe Online!

How Do I get Involved with My Church?

Interested in getting more involved at Lagniappe?  There are several opportunities available!

  • 20's and 30's Bible Study, Mondays at 8pm--If you are in your 20s or 30s, please join us on Monday evenings at 949 Old Spanish Trail for lively and candid discussion about God's word.  We are currently working through Tim Kellar's The Prodigal God and tackling tangents as they come up.
  • Friday Morning Bible Study, Fridays at 6am--Want to get an early start?  Join us on Friday mornings at the Mockingbird Cafe (located on 2nd and Main) for Coffee and teaching.  This study is open to anyone of any age.  We are currently working through the book of Mark.
  • Community Development Class, Wednesdays at 7pm--If you are interested in learning more about God's love both for you and your community, this might be the class for you.  We will be working through the text When Helping Hurts over 9 weeks, exploring what it means to love our neighbor.  Classes will be held February 3-March 31 at Sarah Niemitz's home.  Please contact Sarah Niemitz if you are interested.
  • Youth Group, Wednesdays at 5:30pm--If you are in grades 9-12, join us at in the Lagniappe youth room, located at 647 DeMontluzin Street.  We have pizza dinner starting at 5:30, and Chris will start teaching at 6!  Contact Chris Leuck if you are interested or have any questions! (901) 240-2677 (cell).
  • Own Something:  There are many opportunities to serve at Lagniappe, particularly on Sunday mornings.  If you are interested in getting more involved, check out our "Get Involved" bulletin board on Sundays, or contact Sarah Niemitz for more information.

Still interested in volunteering on the Gulf Coast?!

Then come volunteer with one of Lagniappe's wonderful friend and partners!  Both Habitat for Humanity and Lutheran Episcopal Services of Mississippi (LESM) are continuing to host volunteers and build houses in the Bay Waveland area.  In fact, LESM is now co-leasing the Lagniappe Church facility in order to house and feed their volunteers.  This means that anyone who comes down with Habitat for Humanity or LESM has the opportunity to stay at the Lagniappe facility!  If you are interested in volunteering with either organization, please contact them directly.

Erica Painter--Volunteer Coordinator for Habitat for Humanity
Lindsay Asker--Volunteer Coordinator for Lutheran Episcopal Services (LESM)

Thank you for your interest and continued support!
