Volunteer trip Updates from Lagniappe

  • Effective with new bookings made after October 28,2008  for effective dates of January 1, 2009 and beyond, the daily rate for room and board at Lagniappe will increase from $20 to $22.
  • Dinner will not be provided on Saturday nights for check-in teams. If you are checking in on a Saturday evening, please allow time to eat on the road while maintaining check-in before 6 pm.
  • Limited dinner menu provided on Friday nights. Our local Chamber of Commerce has asked that we encourage 'voluntourism' as well as volunteering. Teams will all eat out on Wednesday nights as usual, but we will be offering a limited menu (sandwiches, etc.) on Friday nights as well to encourage teams to support the local economy, go shopping and eat at local restaurants.

Homes for the Holidays:

The Blitz Build is Here!!!

Lagniappe is excited to host 45 college students from around the southeast in a 1 week, two house blitz build-partnering with Habitat for Humanity!  Students for 10 different colleges have given up their Christmas break to help restore the coast.  Please check out our blog for the progress updates, and check out the December Blitz Build 2008 album featured on the right--the album will be updated every day!!
