Staff Information

Transition

God has mysterious ways of working, and as you have read on our home page, Lagniappe is transitioning!  The staff you see above you has been such a vital part of the ministry in Bay St. Louis for over three years.  God has used each person uniquely and are we are thankful for each personality.  Some of these staff members will continue on staff with Lagniappe.  Others will continue to live in Bay St. Louis but pursue other employment (or enjoy retirement!).  Still others will move on to new adventures.  Below is the list of current staff, as well as some forwarding information for former staff.

Please keep Lagniappe, members and staff, in your prayers.   We are excited about this next phase, but no change is easy.  We are trusting God's provision and plan as we move ahead.  If you would like to know more specifically how you can pray for and support LPC, please look here.

Thank you for your partnership!

Jean F. Larroux, III

Jean and Kim LarrouxJean and Kim LarrouxLarroux is the son of Jean Larroux, Jr. and Toni Larroux, both of Bay St. Louis. His grandfather is the late "Jimmy" Larroux of Cedar Point. He is married to the former Kimberly Fulford of Greenville, Mississippi and they have three childen Jean F. Larroux, IV (15), Ann Elizabeth Larroux (12) and Hannah Grace Larroux (11).

Jean & Kim met at Ole Miss and have been married 16 years. Along with their three children they have a golden retriever named Stonewall "Jackson" Larroux. Jean graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi with an Masters of Divinty degree emphasizing missions. He has served churches in central Mississippi and North Alabama before joining the staff of Independent Presbyterian in 2000.

When he’s not at work Jean can be found on the water sailing or fishing while listening to Jimmy Buffett. If it is deer or turkey season he is likely somewhere in the Mississippi, Tennessee or Louisiana woods freezing or slapping mosquitos depending on which season it is.

Curt Moore

Kelly and Curt MooreKelly and Curt Moore

Curtis E. Moore is an ordained PCA pastor originally from Orlando, Florida. In 1998, upon graduation from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, he moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and served as Assistant Pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Biloxi for 4 years. Immediately prior to Hurricane Katrina, Curt was on staff as a chaplain with Odyssey Hospice of the Gulf Coast and also with Child Evangelism Fellowship serving southern Mississippi. Shortly after Hurricane Katrina, through a partnership with Mission to North America, Curt began working with Lagniappe Presbyterian Church as Disaster Relief Coordinator for the Bay St. Louis and Waveland areas.

Curt and his wife, the former Kelly McCloskey of Biloxi, have been married since July of 2004 and live in Gulfport. Kelly works for Lagniappe and manages our "Pray for the Bay" website and her husband, too.

When Curt is not in his office, he can be found at the Mockingbird Cafe drinking espresso. He is also a self-avowed parrot head.  When he can get his hands on the microphone, he often pretends he is on "Love Boat."

Chris Leuck

Chris, a graduate of The University of Tennessee, is the most recent addition to the staff.  He discovered Lagniappe in the Spring of ‘08 while serving as a volunteer with a group from UT.  Two trips to “The Bay” is all it took… Chris and Tiffany, his wife of one month, moved to Bay St. Louis June 1, 2009.   They both grew up in the suburbs of Memphis, TN before attending UT.  The two went to rival high schools, but had no problem uniting their alma-mater’s when they began dating at the end of their senior year in college.  Chris and Tiffany dated for 5 months, were engaged for 7, and were married April 25, 2009!
Chris has joined our staff to serve as Minister to Youth in the Bay area.  He and his Tiffany live in a great little house in historic “Old Towne”.  When he is not with the youth, Chris is probably hanging out with his beautiful wife, fine-tuning his golf game, or learning how to fish.
Together, Chris and Tiffany love to be on the water, preferably in a boat.  They also enjoy live music, laying on the beach, and movie night.

 Sarah Niemitz

Sarah, a graduate of Furman University, began her time at Lagniappe as one of our first interns.  Upon graduating in 2007, she has served with LPC as the resource coordinator--recruiting volunteers and financial support from around the country.  On April 11, 2009 she married Ben Niemitz.  Ben moved from Pennsylvania in March of 2008, where he worked with a home-remodeling company and was actively involved with Young Life.  He is now a construction coordinator for Habitat for Humanity and the Lagniappe worship leader.   The two live in an apartment on Main Street--a stone's throw from the beach and the Mockingbird.  Sarah will continue working part-time with Lagniappe, serving on the community development team.  She and Ben enjoy cookouts, yard games, chips and salsa, Lazy Magnolia, music anywhere, and sand-volleyball!
