MTW / RUF blitz 2007

Last year 50 students from around the country came together for a week of mercy ministry and teaching.  Monday through Friday, they worked from 7:30-4:30 building a home for Kyle Foster.  They took the house from floor boards to external completion--meaning the house was framed and sheeted, the roof was on, the siding was painted, and the doors and windows were installed.  It was an incredible project.  Every evening, Alabama RUF campus minister Marshal Brown took the students through a Biblical study of mercy ministry.  It was an incredible week of fellowship, hard work, and learning.  To see pictures, go to the December Blitz Build 2007 Photo Album.

Want to join us this year?

Email Lynne Sabin to reserve your spot!  Space is limited to 60 students, so hurry and sign up!  You will need to provide your own transportation here, and LPC does not have an airport shuttle.

FAQ:

1. How do I get there?  Driving is the best way to get here; the airports are 1/2 or 1 hour away, and LPC does not have an airport shuttle.  Consider carpooling.
2. What do I need to bring?  Check out the FAQ page under our missions section to find a more detailed list of items to bring.  This one is abreviated but important:  Towel, toiletries, shower shoes, sleeping bag (or sheets and blankets) and a pillow, work clothes (remember it will be cold), work gloves, close toed shoes.
3.  How do I pay?  You can pay online or you can mail in a check.  Please have all waivers and checks mailed in BEFORE arriving; this will save a great deal of time.
4.  Waivers?  Yes!  We need you to fill out our LPC waiver and send us a copy of your insurrance card (front and back).  This is very important.  Go to Mission trip forms on our website to download the necessary paper work.

If you have any other questions please email Sarah Denton!
